Anargyreos & Korgialeneios School

Venue for the scientific programme

The Anargyrios and Korgialenios School of Spetses (AKSS) is a historical and cultural heritage site of the island of Spetses. It was established in 1923 on a picturesque 120.000m² parcel along the northern coastline of the island. The school is found in an enclave of unique natural beauty, surrounded by pine forests and olive groves and embedded with beautiful gardens throughout. It includes a complex of five buildings of neoclassical architecture and sport facilities. A.K.S.S. was designed by the standards of Eton College to serve as a multicultural and pioneering educational Institution and is autonomously run as a Foundation by an executive Committee under the auspices of Greek Ministry of Education.

Just a few minutes from the picturesque harbor of the island (1.2 km), the visitor will find state-of-the-art conference facilities within a remarkable environment distinguished by the beauty of past decades. It is an idyllic natural setting close to an area of significant historical proportions (Epidaurus, Mycenae etc);

Each year the superbly equipped facilities of the School, friendly to people with disabilities, host a range of Greek and international scientific and professional conferences, and other events, all organized to the highest standards, attracting important figures from the Greek and the international cultural, intellectual and scientific community.

In the A.K.S.S. premises, installed in the main conference areas, you will find AirPort Time Capsule 2TB available, direct WIFI connection and seamless file transfer of conference materials and more.
